Priya is passionate about how the body heals innately and how it functions in the presence of diverse stressors. She believes that supporting the body’s ability can restore its strength and balance in areas of injury and pain.
Priya loves that massage therapy gives her the opportunity to work with a various group of patients and to assist them as they work toward their goals for good health and balanced lifestyles. She has worked with people involved with but not limited to motor vehicle accidents (MVA), pregnancy, geriatrics, pediatrics, and sports related injuries. To help see people heal and be their optimal self-has always been an interest to Priya.
To meet each patient’s individual needs, Priya blends a diverse set of modalities and techniques including but not limited to: a thorough assessment, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point release, myofascial release (MFR), joint mobilization technique, and muscle energy technique (MET). Priya has also recently taken a course with Rocktape for fascial taping. Taping helps stabilize joints and also aids in reducing pain.
Outside of the RMT life, Priya is an instructor at VaCC for the RMT program where she helps prepare future RMT’s. She also enjoys learning new activities, dancing, and reading.
Priya always welcomes any questions and is ready to help new patients improve their quality of life.
